How to use the yes or no wheel

1. Type your question in the box above the wheel. This is optional; the answer is the same either way, but your question shows next to the result.
2. Press Spin, tap the wheel, or press the space bar.
3. The wheel slows down and stops on Yes or No.

The wheel shows Yes and No four times each so it looks and feels like a real spinner. Every Yes slice and every No slice is the same size, so the answer is still exactly 50/50.

Yes or No

The classic. Two answers, equal chances.

Yes, No or Maybe

Adds a third answer for when you are happy to leave it open. Each answer has a one in three chance.

Best of 3

Turn on Best of 3 under the options and the wheel keeps spinning until one answer has won twice. Good for when one spin feels too sudden.

Change the odds

The options box is fully editable. Add *2 after an answer to make its slice twice as wide, for example Yes *2 gives Yes a two in three chance. You can also rename the answers (Go and Stay, Now and Later) or add more.

Is it really random?

Yes. When you spin, your browser picks the stopping point with its built-in cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues). Where the wheel stops decides the answer, and every slice has a share of the circle that matches its chance. Nothing is weighted behind the scenes, and nothing is sent to a server.

A game of chance, not advice

A yes or no wheel is a coin toss with colors. It is great for small choices: which film, who goes first, whether to order dessert. For anything that matters, like health, money or relationships, use it for fun only and make the real decision yourself.
