How to use the number wheel
- Pick a range with the buttons, or type your own From and To and press Make wheel.
- Press Spin, tap the wheel, or press the space bar.
- The wheel stops on a random number in your range.
Step skips numbers: From 0, To 100, Step 5 gives 0, 5, 10 and so on up to 100. Negative numbers work too.
Draw numbers without repeats
Tick Remove the winner after each spin and each number leaves the wheel once it comes up. Useful for raffles, bingo-style games, picking the order of turns, or numbering students.
Is it random?
Yes. On the default 1 to 10 wheel, each number has a 1 in 10 chance: the slices are all the same size, and your browser's cryptographic random number generator picks where the wheel stops. They stay equally likely unless you add weights, for example 7 *2 makes 7 twice as likely.
Questions
What is the biggest range?
One wheel holds up to 1,000 numbers, so 1 to 1,000 works. For a wider range, use a step, for example 0 to 10,000 in steps of 10.
Can I pick a number between 1 and 100?
Yes. Press 1-100. With 100 numbers the labels get small, and the number you land on shows in large type.
Can the same number come up twice?
Yes, unless you tick Remove the winner after each spin.
Can I roll a die with it?
Yes. Press 1-6 for a six-sided die.
