About the questions

All 140 questions were written for this site and checked against reliable reference sources. We kept to facts that do not change from year to year, so there are no questions about current champions, record holders or prices that could go out of date. Where an answer has a common alternative, it is given in brackets.

Trivia nights, classrooms, road trips and family dinners all work. For a party game with acting, try the charades generator; to split players into teams first, use the random team generator.
